Born at breakfast time (7:25) on the ward at Jessop's Hospital, Sheffield, 28th April 1954, 7lb 3oz, first child of Revd. Thomas James and Mrs. Olivia Mary Booth (nee Harrison), nine months after their wedding (25th July 1953).  They honeymooned in Callender, Perthshire.

0 - 4 years : lived at the Manse, the Bridle Stile, Mosborough.  Sister Elizabeth born 13th June 1955.

August 1958 - August 1963
4 - 9 years : lived at Normanby Rd, South Bank, Middlesborough.  Brother Andrew born 8th March 1961 (Middlesborough Maternity Hospital?); brother Peter born 9th May 1963 (at home).  Went to Infants and Junior School somewhere behind our house.

9 - 12 years : lived at New St., Sutton, St Helens.  Went to Robins Lane Junior School, then one year at Cowley Grammar.

12-17 years : lived at Elder Gardens, Liverpool 19.  Went to Hillfoot Hey High School.

17-18 years : lived at Kenton Rd., Halewood, Liverpool.  Still at HHHS.

18-22 years : various addresses in Manchester while at U.M.I.S.T. (Methodist International House; Old Lansdowne Rd., West Didsbury; Curzon Avenue, Victoria Park; Oswald Rd., Chorlton).

22-24 years : Oswald Rd.; Plumbley Drive, Old Trafford; then Oswald Rd. again.  Didsbury College (dropped out after 2 terms) then working at Lonsdale/Ferranti.

Moved to Coventry, working at Rolls Royce, Ansty.  Lived at hostel in South Bank Rd, Coundon.

Married Carolyn Gay South (11 Aug), moved into a Staff House at Weston Hospital, Weston-under-Wetherley, Warwickshire.

1980 : Moved to Clifton Way, Hinckley.  Moved to work for Sketchley.  Passed Driving test (Dec.)

1981 : Bryony Claire born Oct 7.

1982 : Moved across the road to a larger house.

1984 : Moved to work for Rugby Borough Council(Jan), then Fraser Williams(Nov.).

March 1985 : Carolyn & I split up.
